Michael Page is hiring a Payroll and HR Operations Manager for a 6-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on leading payroll accuracy, compliance, and team development within an international setting.
This position is responsible for delivering high-quality payroll and HR operational services. The role also plays a key part in driving transformation efforts and enhancing process efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle to guarantee precision, regulatory compliance, and on-time processing.
- Supervise payroll schedules, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit preparations.
- Check and approve payroll results generated by internal staff and third-party vendors.
- Track payroll compliance to ensure strict adherence to company policies and legal standards.
- Generate payroll reports and assist with budgeting and financial reconciliation tasks.
- Administer compensation structures, employee benefits, and leave management systems.
- Maintain accurate records for employee pay and benefit information.
- Assist in rolling out new compensation strategies, benefit programs, and related policies.
- Serve as the primary expert for questions regarding payroll and compensation.
- Spot areas for process optimization to enhance service quality.
- Lead continuous improvement projects across HR and payroll functions.
- Participate in HR system upgrades and broader transformation initiatives.
- Help create and implement new operational frameworks and policies.
- Guide, mentor, and grow a team of HR Operations specialists.
- Maintain strong partnerships with external payroll and benefits service providers.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other business units to support organizational goals.
- Handle escalated issues related to complex payroll and benefits scenarios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Extensive background in payroll, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
- Demonstrated success managing payroll in complex, international environments.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and advanced Excel functions.
- Deep understanding of payroll governance and control mechanisms.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving capabilities.
- Track record of handling multiple priorities and engaging with various stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
