Principal Biostatistician - Biomarker (EMEA Remote)

Syneos Health Switzerland GmbH seeks a Principal Biostatistician - Biomarker (EMEA Remote) to lead biomarker data analysis in clinical studies. The role requires a PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics, with experience in biomarker study leadership and expertise in AI/ML and high-dimensional data analysis.

This position involves planning, executing, and analyzing biomarker components of clinical studies under the guidance of an experienced statistician. The Principal Biostatistician will lead projects across multiple studies or programs, focusing on biomarker data to support drug development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and analyze biomarker elements in clinical studies.
• Serve as the project biomarker statistician, guided by an experienced statistician.
• Lead initiatives spanning multiple studies or programs.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience independently leading biomarker studies.
• Strong understanding of biomarker evaluation, particularly in immunology, infections, and type I diabetes, including relevant biological parameters.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R (including Bioconductor and other packages for genetic data) and Python.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, requiring minimal supervision.
• Experience applying AI and ML approaches to analyze high-dimensional data.

• Prior experience in clinical trials, with industry experience being preferred.
