The University of Geneva seeks a senior cardiologist to lead its Cardiology Division as Head and Professor, overseeing clinical operations, research, and teaching within a recognized Swiss center of excellence.

This senior role combines leadership of the Cardiology Division at the University Hospital with a part-time professorship at the Faculty of Medicine. The position sits within the Hospital and Academic Departments of Medicine and involves directing a high-volume clinical division that holds a reputation as a center of excellence in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Direct and expand the division's clinical activities.
• Oversee four key operational areas: inpatient care, interventional cardiology, outpatient services, and radiology (including ultrasound and PET scans).
• Foster and sustain collaborations with other HUG divisions and the Diagnostic Department for cardiovascular imaging.
• Build and maintain connections with peripheral clinics and hospitals.
• Drive high-level research initiatives in cardiology.
• Provide mentoring, team management, and teaching at both pre-graduate and post-graduate levels.

Requirements

• Medical doctorate with specialization in Cardiology or equivalent credentials.
• Substantial clinical experience in cardiology.
• Demonstrated management, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Fluency in French at a C1 level.
• Experience in research supervision and teaching.
• A record of publications in major international peer-reviewed journals.
