Properties & Buildings Director - Switzerland – Swiss Romand

WSP Switzerland seeks a Properties & Buildings Director based in Lausanne to lead Swiss Romand operations, drive strategic growth, and manage financial and operational performance across the discipline.

This leadership position sits within the Swiss Leadership Team and is responsible for steering the country-wide Property and Building operations. The director will shape the business unit's strategy to foster growth while ensuring the discipline meets its financial and operational targets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the annual discipline budget, ensuring accurate financial forecasts and effective working capital management.
  • Drive operational excellence in project management and ensure all P&B activities align with Swiss goals and policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the Property and Building division.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by implementing key engagement plans for the Swiss Romand region.
  • Lead business development efforts at national and international levels to support sector growth.
  • Foster a culture of integrated technical excellence and innovation across the team.
  • Manage human capital strategies to maintain an inclusive, ethical, and positive work environment.
  • Achieve a personal billable utilization target ranging from 20 to 40 percent.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possess a strong background in properties and building technical consulting, building operations, and rigorous project management.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in senior leadership roles within the properties and buildings consulting industry, with technical, operational, and financial expertise.
  • Show a track record of leading scale organizations focused on top-line growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
  • Be based in the Swiss Romand region and possess a strong commercial network within the area.
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
