Senior Cloud & Data Security Consultant

Elca Informatik AG seeks a Senior Cloud & Data Security Consultant to advise Swiss clients on cloud security, data governance, and zero-trust strategies within its cybersecurity practice.

This position sits within the cybersecurity practice and focuses on advising, designing, and implementing cloud and data security solutions for leading Swiss organizations. The role combines technical architecture with client advisory work to drive security strategy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk analyses and security assessments using established frameworks.
• Develop and enforce data classification and protection policies.
• Architect and deploy cloud security solutions leveraging modern technologies.
• Manage the complete project lifecycle, ensuring quality and successful delivery from initial requirements to final implementation.
• Assist with pre-sales activities, including responding to RfPs and drafting technical proposals.
• Guide clients on governance frameworks, cloud security strategies, and zero-trust adoption.
• Lead client workshops to translate business objectives into actionable security requirements.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification from a university, HES, or polytechnic.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance, security, compliance, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate functional workshops and convert business needs into technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in English, plus proficiency in German or French (knowledge of both is advantageous).

Nice to have

• Understanding of zero-trust architectures and modern information security principles.
• Relevant cloud certifications such as Microsoft SC-400/401, AWS, GCP, or CISSP.
