Lonza seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead integrated biologics projects in Visp, acting as the primary customer liaison and driving cross-functional team success.
This position operates within the Integrated Biologics organization and serves as the central connection between Lonza and its clients. The incumbent will guide cross-functional teams through every stage of the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer programs from start to finish, maintaining high standards for quality, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
- Serve as the primary interface for clients, building transparent relationships that encourage ongoing partnership.
- Coordinate and motivate diverse teams working within a matrix structure to achieve shared goals.
- Oversee project scope, financials, and timelines to ensure successful delivery and strategic alignment.
- Work across departments to handle scope adjustments, support commercial initiatives, and identify new business opportunities.
- Proactively identify potential risks and facilitate swift issue resolution to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor team members to promote professional growth, inclusion, and a collaborative learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in project or program management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or CDMO sectors.
- Solid grasp of technical, commercial, and organizational dynamics.
- Track record of leading cross-functional groups to deliver complex initiatives.
- Familiarity with GMP manufacturing processes and drug substance development.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Fluency in English.
