The company is seeking a Senior Scientist for Quality Control to help establish a new QC lab in Stein, Switzerland. The role involves executing and reviewing drug product testing under cGMP, supporting lab operations, and contributing to method validation and documentation.
This position plays a key part in launching a new Quality Control laboratory as part of a significant expansion initiative. Based entirely on-site in Stein, AG, Switzerland, the role demands close, in-person collaboration to ensure technical accuracy and seamless teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform, oversee, and evaluate physico-chemical and biochemical testing for drug product release and stability in compliance with cGMP standards.
- Record assay procedures according to Good Documentation Practices, noting any relevant findings or deviations.
- Carry out routine laboratory duties such as preparing mobile phases, calibrating instruments, maintaining 6S standards, managing supplies, and assisting with equipment upkeep.
- Assist with validation and transfer processes for incoming projects.
- Participate in troubleshooting and investigation efforts for assigned tasks.
- Help draft cGMP documentation, including standard operating procedures and quality records like OOE/OOS and CAPAs.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in Quality Control within a GMP-regulated setting.
- Hands-on proficiency with at least one of the following: ELISA, HPLC, or iCIEF.
- An apprenticeship as a lab technician, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with laboratory quality systems such as LIMS, Tiamo, or chromatography data systems like Empower or Chromeleon.
- Fluent command of both written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to multiple testing methods is advantageous.
- Background in analytical method validation and transfer is beneficial.
- Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
