The company seeks a Senior Software Developer to configure and extend its MFC/WMS product, analyze requirements, and mentor junior team members in a fully remote role based in Switzerland.
This position focuses on adapting the MFC/WMS software platform to meet specific client needs. The developer will analyze technical and business requirements, build maintainable solutions, and take ownership of key software components while supporting project management with technical insights and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Adapt the MFC/WMS product to fulfill client-specific demands
- Customize and expand software modules to align with project specifications
- Evaluate business and technical needs within project frameworks
- Create robust and easily maintainable code within the existing product structure
- Assume technical responsibility for designated software parts during projects
- Assist project managers with technical choices, time estimates, and risk evaluations
- Troubleshoot and fix intricate problems, particularly during testing and commissioning
- Work closely with commissioning engineers, project managers, and service departments
- Mentor and guide less experienced developers
Requirements
- University degree or vocational training in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Multiple years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly C# or Delphi
- Solid grasp of complex software architectures, databases (SQL, Oracle), and communication interfaces
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Methodical, autonomous, and solution-focused approach to work
- Effective communication abilities and experience collaborating in distributed teams
- Readiness to travel occasionally for project requirements
