Senior Travel Agent (m/d/f)

Kuehne + Nagel seeks a Senior Travel Agent in Schindellegi to manage complex global travel for executives and staff, ensuring safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

This position provides high-level travel coordination for employees, senior leaders, and board members across the company's worldwide operations. The role is designed to guarantee a smooth travel experience that balances budget constraints with traveler safety and strict policy adherence, thereby supporting the organization's global business activities.

Responsibilities

• Arrange domestic and international trips, including flights, accommodation, rail connections, transfers, and visa processing.
• Handle intricate travel plans for VIPs, board members, and senior management.
• Offer expert guidance on travel options to find the most efficient and affordable solutions.
• Verify that all bookings align with the company's Global Travel Policy and internal approval workflows.
• Address travel disruptions, cancellations, emergencies, and sudden schedule changes.
• Collaborate with travel management companies, airlines, hotels, and other suppliers to maintain service quality.
• Oversee booking requests, ticketing, and traveler profiles to ensure data accuracy.
• Review travel metrics and reports, assist with travel-related projects, and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Several years of background in corporate travel management or business travel operations.
• Deep understanding of airline fares, ticketing procedures, hotel loyalty programs, and global travel workflows.
• Demonstrated history of supporting senior executives and handling complex international itineraries.
• Proficiency with travel booking platforms, Global Distribution Systems (GDS), and reporting tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent organizational capabilities to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluency in both German and English.
