The University of Zurich seeks a part-time Student Assistant for onsite work in Zürich. The role involves administrative support, research assistance, and course organization for law students.
This position supports the Chair within Switzerland's largest university, which employs approximately 10,000 staff members. The assistant helps maintain academic operations by managing administrative tasks, supporting research initiatives, and facilitating the delivery of courses and examinations.
Responsibilities
- Handling general administrative tasks for the Chair.
- Updating and maintaining the Chair's website.
- Supporting research projects and activities.
- Preparing and organizing academic courses.
- Providing assistance with Bachelor's and Master's theses.
- Correcting exam papers.
Requirements
- Possess an above-average Bachelor's degree in law or be close to completing one.
- Demonstrate fluency in both English and German at level C2 or higher.
- Be available to work full days on Mondays and one additional day per week at 40% capacity.
- Ensure that you are not enrolled in any courses taught by the hiring contact.
Nice to have
- Strong interest in European and International Economic Law.
- Familiarity with financial regulation.
- Knowledge of environmental law and related sustainability topics.
