Research Assistant for Research on Learning Sciences and Higher Education

ETH Zurich seeks a part-time Research Assistant to support the Professorship for Learning Sciences and Higher Education with data collection and qualitative analysis. Open to ETH or UZH students.

This position provides support to the research team at the Professorship for Learning Sciences and Higher Education. It offers candidates practical experience in academic research and insight into methodologies within the field of learning sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection tasks, such as preparing study materials, scheduling participant sessions, and documenting interactions.
• Conduct qualitative analysis of video recordings, focusing on spoken language and gestures to identify non-literal mathematical concepts.

Requirements

• Possess strong mathematics knowledge at least at the high school level.
• Be currently enrolled as a student at ETH Zurich or UZH, regardless of major.
• Demonstrate fluent proficiency in English.
