Research Assistant (PhD student) in Educational Psychology (80% - 100%)

UniDistance Suisse seeks a PhD candidate in Educational Psychology to conduct experimental research on learning and instruction within an interdisciplinary centre. The role combines research, teaching support, and publication-based dissertation work.

This position is a PhD student role in Educational Psychology at UniDistance Suisse, situated within an interdisciplinary research centre. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and report on experimental studies focused on learning and instruction, contributing to a publication-based dissertation.

Responsibilities

• Design, carry out, analyse, and document experimental studies in learning and instruction.
• Author scientific articles in English for a publication-based doctoral thesis.
• Engage in interdisciplinary research activities within the centre.
• Share research outcomes at national and international academic conferences.
• Assist with teaching duties in the Educational Psychology Lab, focusing on Learning and Instruction and Developmental Psychology.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Psychology, Educational Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in learning and instruction.
• Work in a self-regulated, reliable, and conscientious manner.
• Possess excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Show curiosity and motivation to develop new skills and competencies.

Nice to have

• Experience with experimental research.
• Knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistical software.
• Experience with open-science practices.
• German and/or French language skills.
• Experience in teaching or student support.
