Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous empirical management research aligned with open science principles and societal relevance.
- Publish findings regularly in reputable, high-impact scientific journals.
- Present work at national and international academic conferences and workshops.
- Supervise undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students throughout their thesis work.
- Secure competitive external research grants, such as those from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
- Build and maintain academic partnerships with other universities and internal faculties.
- Deliver instruction across Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programmes in German, French, or English.
- Design and introduce modern teaching strategies, emphasizing e-learning and digital education techniques.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of faculty structures, study programmes, and course content.
- Develop and deliver continuing education offerings for a wider audience.
Requirements
- A completed doctoral degree and demonstrated research experience in a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in quantitative empirical methods, including field or lab experiments and the analysis of organisational, personnel, or other datasets using contemporary quantitative techniques.
- A clear and promising research trajectory in empirical management research that aligns with and expands the faculty's current research cluster.
- A robust publication pipeline, with at least initial publications in top-tier journals.
- Proven capability or strong potential to successfully obtain competitive third-party research funding.
- Ability and readiness to create effective online teaching modules; prior experience with blended learning formats is preferred.
- Fluency in English and active proficiency in either German or French, along with passive understanding of the other language, plus a commitment to teaching in German or French within twelve months.
