Study Responsible Physician- Neuroscience (Pediatric Studies)

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Study Responsible Physician in Neuroscience for pediatric clinical studies in Allschwil, CH. The role involves medical leadership, trial design, and execution within a cross-functional team, with a focus on pediatric populations and regulatory compliance.

The Study Responsible Physician (SRP) leads medical and scientific aspects of pediatric clinical studies in the Neuroscience therapeutic area. As a key member of the cross-functional team, the SRP collaborates with clinical and operational partners to design, execute, and report on trials, contributing to the overall clinical development plan with a focus on pediatric strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medical monitoring and safety reporting, including company safety officer duties
• Contributes to clinical development plans, trial protocols, and owns clinical study reports
• Assesses adverse events for potential treatment-relatedness, both pre- and post-marketing
• Supports Regulatory Affairs in identifying corrective actions or health authority reporting needs
• May serve as the company’s medical liaison to health authorities on clinical matters
• Interprets and communicates research results in written and oral formats for regulatory submissions
• Collaborates closely with Project Clinical Scientists and Physicians across programs
• Assists in shaping the pediatric regulatory development strategy
• Provides medical consultation to internal stakeholders to ensure objective data interpretation
• May evaluate new assets or technologies by reviewing relevant medical literature
• Participates in advisory boards and key opinion leader engagements as needed
• Contributes to the creation of presentations and publications based on study outcomes

Requirements

• MD (or equivalent) in a relevant field; MD/PhD preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical trials within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO environments, with direct involvement in pediatric populations
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements for clinical trials and regulatory submissions
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word

Nice to have

• Training or experience in neuroscience (e.g., child & adolescent psychiatry, neurology, neurodevelopmental disorders) and pediatric drug development is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical trial experience in an academic setting, with focus on pediatric or adolescent patients
