Supply chain employee

Limagrain seeks a Junior Supply Chain Employee in Switzerland to coordinate flows, optimize stock levels, and manage packaging operations for domestic and export markets.

This position focuses on the planning, execution, and communication aspects of the supply chain. The primary goal is to coordinate material flows and optimize inventory levels to support business operations while minimizing working capital requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate sales demand and create packaging plans using historical data to maintain appropriate inventory levels for domestic markets.
• Review finished goods inventory to determine necessary semi-finished quantities and ensure correct product forms and qualities.
• Coordinate with workshops to plan and prioritize packaging work orders.
• Initiate packaging work orders for domestic markets according to the established packaging plan.
• Release packaging work orders for export markets based on the sales order portfolio.
• Verify qualitative parameters and market-specific requirements, such as country of origin restrictions, to assign lots to sales orders.
• Identify and initiate additional tests on finished products as needed.
• Notify Supply Chain Planners of potential or existing shortages resulting from changes in demand planning.
• Prepare documentation for incomplete or substandard products for approval by Sales and Marketing teams.
• Communicate seed availability updates to the customer service and sales departments.
• Reduce customer claims by providing accurate information to Customer Service.
• Optimize finished goods inventory to sustain business activity while limiting working capital requirements.
