Surface Treatment Specialist

SR Technics in Zürich seeks a Junior Surface Treatment Specialist to prepare and finish engine components. The role requires technical apprenticeship, German B2, and shift work availability.

This position focuses on the preparation and surface finishing of engine components within a global and dynamic operational environment. The specialist ensures that parts meet quality standards through various finishing processes while adhering to safety and chemical handling protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engine parts by leaning, masking, and degreasing them.
• Execute surface finishing tasks including painting, coating, and plating.
• Perform mechanical finishing work such as grinding and blending.
• Operate and monitor treatment equipment and processes.
• Conduct self-inspections and document the results accurately.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and chemical-handling standards.
• Apply 5S principles and support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Completed technical apprenticeship in surface treatment, mechanics, production, or a related field.
• Practical experience in paint, coating, blending, or plating.
• German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift schedule.
• Basic IT skills.
