Siemens is hiring a Junior Mechanical Engineering Technician for on-site work in Switzerland. The role focuses on assembling electro-mechanical components and supporting production operations within a mechanical assembly group.

This position sits within the mechanical assembly production group. The primary purpose is to assemble electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products while supporting daily manufacturing operations and contributing to resource planning.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and final products based on engineering drawings and bills of material.
  • Follow established test procedures and industry best practices.
  • Manage time effectively and track inventory consumption for production jobs.
  • Help resolve routine manufacturing issues that impact daily operations.
  • Suggest improvements to tools, methods, and operational practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when needed.
  • Support planning and resource allocation within the mechanical assembly group.
  • Coordinate work steps with other team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements

  • Trade or engineering qualification with at least two years of experience in mechanical assembly and testing.
  • Proven background in manufacturing environments with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Familiarity with SAP (APO) or comparable production and inventory management systems.
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
