Process Engineering Technician

Pyrotek SA seeks an Entry-level Process Engineering Technician for a 3-month seasonal role in Switzerland. The position bridges Engineering and Operations to optimize manufacturing quality and efficiency.

This role acts as a liaison between the engineering and operations teams at Pyrotek SA. The primary objective is to maintain high-quality manufacturing standards while ensuring consistent and efficient production processes.

Responsibilities

• Track machine performance and manufacturing workflows, adjusting parameters to boost productivity and product quality.
• Gather and evaluate data on process and product outcomes to spot areas for enhancement.
• Diagnose equipment, product, or process challenges and implement effective fixes.
• Contribute to new product development through prototyping, material testing, and supporting production rollouts.
• Create and update manufacturing records, work instructions, technical drawings, and product specs.
• Help prepare product cost estimates, quotes, and maintain manufacturing master data.
• Educate production staff on updated procedures, processes, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• An associate degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, combined with three years of manufacturing process experience; or a comparable mix of education and hands-on experience.
• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in manufacturing, process engineering, quality assurance, or product development is advantageous.
• Background in ceramic engineering or ceramic fiber manufacturing is preferred.
