Assembler

Pyrotek SA seeks an Assembler for its on-site facility in Switzerland. The role focuses on assembling components, performing quality checks, and maintaining safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a key member of the production team, the Assembler will be responsible for building and modifying parts according to technical specifications. This position plays a vital role in supporting Pyrotek's mission to develop advanced materials and systems that enhance safety and efficiency across various industries.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify standard components based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal directions.
• Prepare machined parts through grinding, sanding, mixing, cementing, wrapping, painting, and laminating.
• Adjust and set up machinery to ensure parts meet specific fit or specification ranges by inspecting them against blueprints.
• Operate hoists, slings, cranes, and tow motors to transport materials and parts safely across workbenches and the facility.
• Conduct functionality tests and collaborate with quality inspectors to verify that parts meet operational requirements.
• Use barcode scanners to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a safe and efficient workflow in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or TASC certification.
• Ability to interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools, hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain tow motor certification.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods on hard surfaces.
• Manual dexterity to grasp, handle, or feel objects with hands and fingers.
• Specific visual capabilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in manufacturing or carpentry.
