Instrument & Electrical Technician

Evos Food GmbH seeks a mid-level Instrument & Electrical Technician for on-site work in Switzerland. The role combines hands-on maintenance and calibration with formal training and mentoring duties within a manufacturing environment.

This position is designed for a professional who can handle core Instrument and Electrical tasks while continuing to develop their skills through structured training. The technician will operate within an industrial plant setting, ensuring equipment reliability and safety while also supporting the development of entry-level staff through coaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Apply industrial safety standards specific to Instrument and Electrical work.
• Utilize standard E&I tools and electronic testing devices for daily tasks.
• Handle calibration of instruments, pneumatic control valves, and process control loops.
• Execute installation, diagnostics, repair, and routine maintenance for electrical, instrumentation, and analytical systems.
• Interpret technical documentation including schematics, blueprints, manuals, and electrical codes.
• Record all maintenance activities in SAP CMMS and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Learn and understand the production processes within the facility units.
• Mentor junior staff on precision maintenance techniques and promote safe working practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation systems and Process Controls.
• Experience with temperature, pressure, and flow measurement devices.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives.
• Proficiency with standard computer software and SAP systems.
• Competence in using E&I test equipment such as Driver Explorer, RsLinx, and AMS.
• Skill in installing, rebuilding, and pressure testing control and stop valves.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree.
• Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems, specifically Delta V and RS3.
