The company seeks a Team Lead Supply Chain in Nänikon to oversee logistics operations, drive automation initiatives, and manage 3PL partnerships while ensuring high service standards.
This position is based at the European logistics hub for METTLER TOLEDO's global service and import/export activities. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, implementing automation, and fostering a lean workflow across the supply chain network.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain management to guarantee consistent service levels at third-party logistics interfaces.
- Serve as the primary contact for resolving supply chain challenges, offering direct support and quick solutions.
- Collaborate with the broader global network to address escalated second- and third-level support matters.
- Oversee the operational partnership with third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements, key performance indicators, and quality benchmarks.
- Lead the transformation of the European hub by introducing automation, digital tools, and process optimization.
- Evaluate logistics and supply chain workflows to spot inefficiencies and boost productivity, throughput, and accuracy.
- Utilize Lean and 5S principles, alongside structured root cause analysis and CAPA/8D problem-solving techniques, to reduce waste and enhance performance.
- Establish, track, and act upon key performance indicators to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
- Work with third-party logistics partners and internal teams to roll out sustainable, scalable improvement projects across the European hub.
- Create and maintain supply chain management standards, align processes globally, and lead continuous improvement and capability-building initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Several years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse environments.
- Minimum of two years in a team leadership capacity.
- Practical experience using SAP software and Lean methodologies.
- Fluent proficiency in English.

- Familiarity with the 8D problem-solving framework and agile management practices.
- Ability to communicate in German.
