Technical Expert eLIMS CoE QC Operations

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Technical Expert for its eLIMS Center of Excellence in Schaffhausen to lead digital laboratory process improvements within global QC Operations.

This position sits within the eLIMS Center of Excellence in Quality Systems, serving as a highly visible role that shapes digital laboratory processes across global Quality Control Operations. The expert acts as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions, driving innovation in paperless, compliant laboratory workflows.

Responsibilities

• Configure eLIMS systems to ensure efficient, compliant, and paperless laboratory workflows.
• Design, maintain, and enhance data setups to align with business processes and regulatory standards.
• Translate laboratory requirements into robust system solutions, acting as a liaison between business units and IT.
• Integrate laboratory instruments and applications into the eLIMS ecosystem.
• Review and test system updates to ensure stability and compliance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation and standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to global harmonization efforts.
• Lead or participate in QC Operations projects, including continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and train colleagues to support team development and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or diagnostics.
• Strong experience with LIMS/eLIMS systems and quality environments.
• Solid understanding of cGMP principles, FDA regulations, ICH guidelines (Q8, Q9, Q10), and risk management.
• Strong communication skills in English (minimum level B2).

Nice to have

• Exposure to analytical testing, quality control, or IT.
• Understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including responsible and ethical AI practices.
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance efficiency and craft effective prompts.
