SHL Medical AG seeks a Verification Engineer to plan and execute engineering tests, ensuring device compliance and performance through rigorous analysis and coordination.

This position focuses on guaranteeing the precision, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of engineering tests, feasibility studies, and design verifications. The engineer executes tests to confirm device function, safety, and adherence to customer and regulatory standards, while coordinating closely with various departments and utilizing advanced verification tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage schedules for engineering tests, design assessments, and verification activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects using engineering principles, statistical methods, or risk assessment techniques.
  • Evaluate measurement data to recommend improvements for product quality and performance.
  • Support routine laboratory operations, including safety checks, access control, and environmental monitoring.
  • Establish and validate laboratory safety protocols, as well as plans for equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance.
  • Draft technical documentation covering design assessments, verification results, and deviation investigations.
  • Design, validate, and execute test methods, including fixture development, result analysis, and reporting.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or at least three years of relevant engineering industry experience.
  • Proven ability to design fixtures and analyze mechanical test setups.
  • Solid expertise in mechanical validation testing and data collection procedures.
  • Capability to automate mechanical testing processes.
  • Understanding of material failure analysis principles.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Nice to have

  • Practical experience in designing and testing mechanical products.
  • Skill in using mechanical engineering tools for test method development.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a TOEIC score of 700 or higher (or equivalent certification).
  • Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindset.
