The company is looking for an experienced leader to manage the Belletristik (Fiction) department located on the ground floor of its Zurich Bellevue branch. This position involves guiding the team, driving sales performance, and curating the book selection to serve customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate department staff, handling all personnel-related discussions and development.
• Manage the recruitment process for new team members.
• Provide expert guidance on literature and knowledge-based titles.
• Oversee financial metrics including turnover, margins, and personnel costs, while managing sales and purchasing operations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to plan department activities and execute strategies independently.
• Curate the product assortment and ensure its visual presentation meets standards.

Requirements

• Formal training or apprenticeship completed in the book or retail sector.
• Minimum of three years of experience in retail sales.
• Strong interest in both physical books and digital media.
