Julius Bär seeks an Account Manager for Private Banking in Zürich to support Relationship Managers with account administration, compliance, and client operations.
This position focuses on the operational backbone of private banking by managing account administration, documentation, and daily project tasks. Unlike a Relationship Manager, this role does not hold an independent client book; instead, it partners closely with RMs to ensure seamless service delivery. The incumbent serves as a benchmark for service quality, embodying the firm's core values of Care, Passion, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of account administration and documentation formalities.
- Participate in daily operations and projects that impact account management processes.
- Interact with clients independently and professionally regarding account matters.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to support their client engagements.
Requirements
- Completion of a commercial apprenticeship combined with a relevant higher education degree (such as a Bachelor’s, CFA, AZEK, or CAIA).
- Four to five years of experience working as an Assistant Relationship Manager within a banking environment.
- Demonstrated success in handling complex banking client needs, including onboarding new clients and maintaining existing relationships.
- Several years of experience in compliance matters, with a strong awareness of current regulations and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for creating presentations and managing spreadsheets.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
- A service-oriented mindset characterized by discretion, responsibility, and a professional appearance.
- A friendly and open personality, capable of maintaining accuracy and speed under pressure.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in the German language.
- Proficiency in the Russian language.
