Analytics Expert

Körber Pharma Packaging AG seeks an Analytics Expert in Alge, CH, to design and maintain real-time data streaming applications and dashboards within interdisciplinary teams.

The company is looking for a professional to take full ownership of analytics services, covering design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional groups, including machine control, system architecture, and operations teams, to deliver robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance analytics and streaming applications that process real-time data from parcel sorting systems.
• Develop and maintain data integration components, such as adapters and connectors, to incorporate new data sources.
• Build and manage data visualizations and dashboards, primarily using Grafana.
• Guarantee the scalability, reliability, and performance of streaming systems in a production environment.
• Partner with Product Management to convert business requirements into technical implementations.
• Assist integration teams in effectively utilizing the developed products.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive programming experience in Java, including production-level work.
• A solid grasp of stream processing concepts and Kafka Streams or comparable frameworks.
• Proven experience in constructing and maintaining distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data processing techniques.
• Working knowledge of Groovy or a similar JVM-based scripting language.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, for negotiation purposes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
