CERN seeks an Audiovisual Installation & Operations Coordinator to manage hybrid conference infrastructure across nearly 200 meeting rooms and 13 auditoriums in Geneva.
The company is looking for a professional to oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of a large-scale hybrid conference infrastructure. The role involves coordinating audiovisual installations, ensuring equipment standardization, supporting new technology deployments, and driving the continuous improvement of conferencing services.
Responsibilities
- Maintain standardized AV equipment across all conference and meeting spaces while monitoring technological trends to suggest appropriate solutions.
- Manage the design, installation, and renovation of AV systems in accordance with technical standards, including programming and maintaining Extron and Crestron controllers.
- Develop and update the master renovation plan for AV equipment in meeting rooms and auditoriums, handling equipment selection, installation design, commercial analysis, and cross-service coordination.
- Supervise external contractors, organize site visits, perform maintenance interventions, and manage AV maintenance contracts.
- Provide third-line technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with webcast and recording teams, and enhance conferencing service quality.
Requirements
- A higher technical diploma or equivalent experience in Audiovisual Engineering, with a focus on Audio and Video Technology.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, installing, and maintaining AV systems for conference rooms and auditoriums.
- Proficiency with AV control platforms such as Extron and Crestron, along with design tools like AutoCAD.
- Experience in coordinating technical teams, managing contractors and contracts, and providing client relations and user support.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including the OSI model, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Dante, and Art-Net.
- Fluency in spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learning the other language.
- A valid driving license.
