The company seeks an Automation Engineer for assembly and labelling in Grabs, CH. The role focuses on designing automation software, conducting feasibility studies, and collaborating with design teams on development projects.

This position is responsible for the automation aspects of development projects. The engineer will design and develop innovative control software, analyze complex requirements, and perform technical feasibility studies for complete machines or specific functionalities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative automation and control software.
  • Analyze complex requirements and conduct technical feasibility studies for complete machines or specific functionalities.
  • Program and implement new software solutions, including commissioning.
  • Standardize and maintain software concepts in close collaboration with the team.
  • Work closely with the design department during the concept and development phases.
  • Take responsibility for automation within development projects.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, automation, systems engineering, or a comparable field.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLC programming.
  • Knowledge of Java as a high-level language and structured text.
  • Professional experience in industrial automation within mechanical engineering.
  • Confident communication skills in German and English (minimum level B2).

Nice to have

  • B&R experience.
  • Familiarity with HMI systems, vision technology, and safety concepts.
