Autonomous vehicle Test Operator

Tsmg in Bern, CH, seeks a Mid-level Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator for a full-time contract role. The position involves operating self-driving vehicles in autonomous mode, collecting data, and providing feedback, with onsite work required.

The Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator role involves overseeing self-driving vehicles during test operations, collecting real-world data, and offering ride-hailing services to the public. The position supports the development and refinement of autonomous driving technology through direct observation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Drive and monitor autonomous vehicles on both predefined and open routes, including various weather and traffic conditions, primarily in autonomous mode with manual intervention as needed.
• Assess and test additional features and functions of the autonomous vehicles.
• Submit detailed and timely ride reports for engineering and operations teams.
• Work scheduled shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight hours.
• Ensure safety standards are upheld both inside and outside the vehicle during all operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Class C driver’s license, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience driving Class C vehicles.
• Proficient in using a laptop and Office applications such as Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
• Able to operate handheld devices and touchscreen smartphones effectively.
• Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate observations clearly and concisely.
