BFF (Kotlin, Java) Developer with German

The company seeks a Mid-level BFF Developer proficient in Kotlin and Java with fluent German and English skills to build scalable backend solutions in Zürich.

This position supports the organization's mission to drive digital business transformation within the experience economy. The developer will focus on creating modern digital platforms and designing robust, scalable backend architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and upkeep backend services utilizing Java and Kotlin.
• Architect and deploy secure, scalable microservices.
• Partner with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features.
• Participate in technical architecture discussions and suggest improvements.
• Maintain high code standards via testing, peer reviews, and established best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and oversee deployment workflows.
• Enhance system performance and reliability through continuous optimization.
• Engage actively in agile ceremonies and team discussions.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and contemporary backend frameworks.
• Solid grasp of microservices architecture principles.
• Proficiency in developing REST APIs and working with event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience collaborating within agile environments using Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Fluent command of both English and German.
