Business Operations Partner

Roche seeks a Business Operations Partner in Basel to manage core service processes, support site managers, and ensure efficient, compliant daily operations within the External Manufacturing organization.

This position acts as the primary execution layer for the Business Operations Enablement team within Roche’s External Manufacturing division. The role is dedicated to managing specific business processes to ensure their smooth delivery while collaborating with Site Managers and ECCLs to remove daily operational and administrative obstacles.

Responsibilities

• Master and carry out 2–3 key service portfolio processes to establish a solid foundation of operational expertise.
• Perform daily duties with strict compliance, high precision, and efficiency.
• Work closely with designated Site Managers and ECCLs to address service tasks, maintain active communication, and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
• Proactively learn unfamiliar workflows alongside Business Operations Enablement peers to expand technical execution skills.
• Manage routine operational tasks independently, following established guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Detect system limitations and escalate significant operational issues to the Business Operations Enablement team for strategic advice.
• Collaborate with the Operational Excellence (OE) team during improvement initiatives by providing practical feedback on real-world friction points.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific or business field.
• At least two years of experience in pharmaceutical project coordination, manufacturing support, supply chain coordination, or general business operations support.
• Strong technical proficiency in navigating core digital platforms like SAP or Veeva, as well as data visualization software.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a focus on execution.
