Cleanroom Project Manager | HVAC · Electrical

The company seeks a senior Cleanroom Project Manager to coordinate HVAC, electrical, and layout modifications on an operational GMP site in Vaud, CH. The role requires strong coordination skills and an understanding of cleanroom performance parameters.

This hands-on project management position focuses on coordinating live cleanroom modification works within an operational Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility. The professional will serve as the central point of contact for all trades, including HVAC, electrical, and layout adjustments, ensuring seamless execution without necessarily generating technical calculation notes. A subsequent project involving automation is anticipated, potentially extending the assignment through the end of the year.

Responsibilities

• Direct and synchronize cleanroom renovation and modification activities on an active GMP site.
• Evaluate how layout changes influence cleanroom performance metrics, such as overpressure levels and air change frequencies.
• Orchestrate collaboration among various stakeholders and external contractors, managing trade interfaces rather than producing calculation documentation.
• Supervise electrical upgrades, including installations within false ceiling spaces.
• Track project schedules, manage cross-functional interfaces, and monitor on-site progress throughout the modification phase.
• Prepare for a follow-up assignment that includes an automation component.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record in managing cleanroom modification or renovation projects.
• Strong grasp of how layout alterations affect cleanroom performance, particularly regarding HVAC systems, overpressure, and air change rates.
• Proven capability to coordinate multiple trades and external contractors on-site.
• Practical experience with electrical modifications, including work within false ceilings.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in the canton of Vaud.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automation systems, as a second project with an automation scope is expected.
• Prior experience with cleanroom modifications in pharmaceutical or GMP settings.
• Experience coordinating works on live or operational production sites without requiring full shutdowns.
