Project Manager Engineering - Vacuum and Semiconductors

VAT Vakuumventile AG seeks a Senior Project Manager in Haag, CH, to lead engineering projects in vacuum and semiconductor sectors, driving product development and cross-functional collaboration.

The company is looking for a professional to guide engineering initiatives from initial concept through to final implementation. This role focuses on delivering innovative solutions that meet business goals while ensuring alignment among stakeholders and timely project completion.

Responsibilities

• Direct product development, customization, relocation, and cost-reduction initiatives with an emphasis on innovation.
• Manage diverse project teams operating within a global matrix structure.
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle to guarantee adherence to scope, schedule, quality standards, and budget constraints.
• Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and internal or external stakeholders to maintain clear communication.
• Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere that supports continuous learning and individual input.
• Drive process optimization by identifying areas for improvement in project execution and outcomes.
• Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate activities across technical, supply chain, marketing, and quality departments throughout the project duration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager, preferably within a global matrix environment.
• Track record of leading complex product development projects from concept to prototype with limited supervision.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, supply chain, marketing, and quality processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence at all organizational levels.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in additional languages is viewed favorably.
• Prior experience in the vacuum technology or semiconductor industry is advantageous.
