Communications Manager Technology

Kuehne + Nagel seeks a Senior Communications Manager for its Technology division in Schindellegi, Switzerland, to lead internal and external communication strategies.

This position is responsible for shaping and delivering communication strategies for the Technology division. The role bridges the gap between senior leadership and the broader organization, ensuring that key technological narratives are clearly conveyed to employees and international markets. By aligning internal engagement with external visibility, the role supports the division's strategic goals and enhances the company's reputation in the global logistics sector.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement internal communication programs that align staff with the company’s vision, strategy, and business objectives.
• Produce compelling content for various channels, simplifying complex technical subjects into engaging stories for diverse audiences.
• Oversee the divisional intranet, ensuring it hosts timely, relevant, and high-impact information.
• Facilitate employee engagement through events such as town halls and support change management and transformation initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with media contacts and assist in global media relations efforts.
• Develop external communication assets, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and thought leadership pieces.
• Collaborate with IT, Marketing, HR, Sales, and business units to maintain consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
• Track industry trends, support reputation management, and assist in crisis communication protocols when necessary.

Requirements

• Seven to ten years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations.
• Demonstrated success in managing both internal and external communication channels within a fast-paced business setting.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with skill in tailoring messages to specific audience segments.
• Solid grasp of media relations, social media dynamics, content strategy, and digital communication trends.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for detail and quality.
• Proficiency with creative and visual design tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across different functions and cultural backgrounds.
• Deep understanding of technology, IT, and specifically artificial intelligence topics.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
