Schindler Elevator seeks a Global Communications Manager in Ebikon to lead international media relations, shape corporate reputation, and advise senior leadership on strategic communications.

This senior position serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while acting as the primary voice for the company on the global stage. The role is responsible for managing international media relations, protecting the brand’s reputation during crises, and crafting strategic narratives that highlight the organization’s impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute the global media relations strategy, cultivating strong partnerships with key journalists and outlets worldwide.
• Serve as the corporate spokesperson, guiding senior executives on media interactions, public speaking engagements, and executive messaging.
• Produce high-quality content such as press releases, speeches, interview materials, and stories for the Annual Report and financial communications.
• Manage issues and crisis communications, proactively safeguarding the company’s reputation by tracking social, economic, regulatory, and political trends.
• Develop compelling narratives that enhance the company’s standing and collaborate with global teams to align business stories with strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Over ten years of professional experience in corporate communications and media relations within multinational environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in reputation management, handling complex issues, and executing crisis communication plans.
• Extensive professional network within the Swiss media sector and a deep understanding of international media dynamics.
• Exceptional proficiency in writing, editing, and storytelling in both English and German.
