Media & Digital Communications Manager (80-100%)

Climeworks seeks a Media & Digital Communications Manager to lead global media relations and digital content efforts in Opfikon, Switzerland.

Reporting to the Head of Media & Issues, this position ensures the smooth operation of the press office and drives high-quality external communications. The role combines operational media support with content coordination and digital publishing to maintain consistent messaging across all channels.

Responsibilities

• Track global media coverage, analyze sentiment and trends, and deliver regular insights reports.
• Handle incoming media inquiries, coordinate responses, and liaise with subject matter experts and senior spokespeople.
• Cultivate journalist relationships in key markets, identify new opportunities, and keep media databases current.
• Support media outreach and relationship-building, especially in the DACH region, and help execute campaigns and localized initiatives.
• Draft and review press responses, Q&As, briefing documents, and materials for spokesperson preparation.
• Publish and manage content on websites and social media platforms to support digital communication goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in media relations, communications, or journalism.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with media monitoring tools such as Meltwater or Cision.
• Experience managing content publication across web and social media channels.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive, reliable, and collaborative mindset, comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and German (including Swiss German dialects).
