Compliance Officer - Investigations

Swissquote seeks a Compliance Officer for its Investigations Team in Gland. The role involves managing complex inquiries, liaising with MROS, and ensuring regulatory adherence within a hybrid work model.

This position sits within the Compliance Department’s Investigations Team, which is currently expanding to accommodate various seniority levels. The role focuses on handling intricate compliance cases and supporting the broader team's operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex investigations and perform necessary legal clarifications.
• Draft and submit reports to the Financial Intelligence Unit (MROS).
• Act as the primary contact for MROS and other Swiss law enforcement bodies.
• Provide daily operational support to junior team members, including trading assistance.
• Review and validate communications and transaction validations from junior staff according to delegation frameworks.
• Improve internal workflows by drafting and updating internal guidelines.
• Offer guidance and advice to front-line staff and management on compliance matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Law or Economics.
• At least five years of experience in a financial industry Compliance Department.
• Solid understanding of Swiss legal frameworks.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Strong analytical and methodological skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Collaborative spirit with experience in multicultural, dynamic, and international environments.

Nice to have

• Certification in Compliance Management.
• Prior experience conducting investigations and preparing MROS reports.
• Proficiency in German, Russian, or Arabic.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or Snowflake.
