Compliance Officer

Kanadevia Inova seeks a Mid-Senior Compliance Officer in Zürich to manage regulatory adherence and internal controls within its sustainable waste infrastructure operations.

This position supports the company’s mission to transform waste into valuable resources like energy and fertilizer. The Compliance Officer ensures that all operations align with legal standards and internal policies, contributing to the firm’s goal of creating a sustainable future through technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage compliance frameworks to guarantee adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Oversee key processes such as Know Your Customer onboarding, the whistleblowing hotline, and internal investigations.
• Organize and deliver training sessions to raise staff awareness regarding compliance obligations.
• Perform regular audits, monitor ongoing compliance activities, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, interact with regulatory authorities, and update programs as necessary.

Requirements

• A university degree in Law, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in compliance roles.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, and organizational capabilities.
• Competence in using compliance management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Holding a recognized compliance certification.
• Prior experience in engineering, construction, or the renewable energy sector.
• Proficiency in German is highly valued.
• Ability to speak additional languages is considered an advantage.
