Crypto Finance, part of Deutsche Börse Group, seeks a Senior Compliance Officer in Zürich for a full-time onsite role. The position involves overseeing compliance, transaction monitoring, and regulatory implementation in the digital asset space, with a focus on Swiss and EU regulations.

The company includes Crypto Finance AG, regulated by FINMA in Switzerland, and Crypto Finance (Deutschland) GmbH, regulated by BaFin in Germany. In January 2025, Crypto Finance obtained a MiCAR license for the European market. As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will join a small team with broad responsibilities, contributing to compliance frameworks and regulatory integration. The role begins as soon as possible at the Prime Tower in Zürich.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in compliance matters
  • Review client onboarding and file documentation
  • Perform and supervise advanced transaction monitoring, including blockchain forensics and sanctions checks
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) when necessary
  • Lead the interpretation and integration of changing regulatory requirements into company processes and controls
  • Work with legal and operational risk teams to ensure alignment
  • Build and maintain the compliance framework, including policies, risk assessments, and controls
  • Oversee second-line compliance controls
  • Deliver compliance training and internal workshops
  • Assist with internal and external audits in the compliance domain
  • Independently manage compliance-related projects

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Swiss AML regulations, CDB framework, KYC requirements, cross-border rules, and sanctions regimes
  • Proactive, independent, committed, loyal, and motivated mindset
  • University or university of applied sciences degree
  • Prior experience in the Swiss financial sector
  • Interest in distributed ledger technology and crypto assets
  • Knowledge of Swiss financial market regulations
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Residency in the Greater Zurich area is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating decisiveness and practical judgment
  • Willingness to support team development and contribute to Crypto Finance’s goals

Nice to have

  • Additional qualifications such as Swiss CPA
  • Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks
