Senior Legal Counsel

Crypto Finance AG in Zürich seeks a Senior Legal Counsel for its General Counsel Legal Team. The role involves advising on complex legal and regulatory matters in the crypto and digital assets space, supporting international expansion, and contributing to the company’s legal framework.

This position is part of the General Counsel Legal Team at Crypto Finance AG, offering the opportunity to develop deep expertise in crypto-related legal and regulatory requirements. The role supports the company’s growth in a dynamic, innovative environment, with a focus on digital assets and international markets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior legal expert in the Legal & Regulatory team, leading complex matters and collaborating closely with the Head of Legal & Regulatory
• Lead strategic, group-wide legal projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage communication with regulatory bodies such as FINMA and BaFin, handling their requests and inquiries
• Deliver high-quality legal and regulatory advice across all business areas, including corporate governance
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, and oversee external counsel when necessary
• Support the Group’s expansion into new international markets, including LATAM, by providing legal and regulatory guidance
• Act as a primary legal contact for institutional clients and their legal teams
• Participate in business-critical decisions from a legal and regulatory standpoint
• Help maintain and enhance the legal and regulatory framework for the Group’s companies
• Track and evaluate relevant legal and regulatory changes, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders
• Assist the Head of Legal & Regulatory, Executive Board, and Board of Directors on legal matters affecting the Group

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Legal & Regulatory Counsel, preferably in financial regulation or related fields
• Master’s degree in Law or Lizenziat in Law from a Swiss university
• Admission to the Swiss bar is preferred
• Understanding of Web 3.0 and distributed ledger technology (DLT) is valuable
• Experience in an international, fast-changing environment, ideally in financial services, fintech, or tech
• Proven ability to work efficiently, pragmatically, and with high quality
• Dynamic, positive, and highly motivated individual
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated, results-focused, and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and spoken skills in both German and English

Nice to have

• Experience in project management is highly desirable
• Admission to the Swiss bar is preferred
• Knowledge of Web 3.0 and DLT is considered a strong advantage
