Senior Legal Counsel

SIX Group seeks a Senior Legal Counsel in Zürich to advise on corporate matters and strategic initiatives within a hybrid work model.

This position sits within the Group Corporate Centre Legal team, operating in an international setting that prioritizes collaboration, trust, and innovation. The role plays a key part in advancing strategic projects that influence the future landscape of financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legal guidance on corporate issues, strategic Group projects, and transactions.
• Assist with matters involving the board, shareholders, and senior management, including the preparation of essential documentation and ensuring proper execution.
• Create high-quality materials and provide clear legal insights to aid decision-making at the executive and board levels.
• Draft, review, and negotiate significant agreements with regulators, authorities, shareholders, and other external parties.
• Lead or support cross-functional projects, manage outside counsel, and help develop legal processes, frameworks, and tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in law.
• Admission to the Swiss bar.
• At least five years of professional experience in a law firm or the financial sector.
• Deep expertise in corporate law and strategic legal matters.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, board-level contacts, and external stakeholders.
• Independent, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, with sound judgment, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive matters.

Nice to have

• Experience in M&A, competition law and/or financial market regulation.
• Affinity for technology and digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions.
