Compliance Officer - Onboarding Corporate (9 months contract)

Swissquote seeks a Compliance Officer for a 9-month contract in Gland, CH, to review client onboarding requests for AML/CTF, sanctions, CDB, and tax compliance. The role requires 5–7 years in financial services, a degree in Law or Economics, and strong English and French skills.

This position focuses on ensuring client onboarding processes meet regulatory standards, including AML/CTF, sanctions, CDB, and tax compliance (FATCA, CRS), supporting the company’s adherence to financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess client account opening requests for compliance with AML/CTF, sanctions, CDB, and tax regulations (FATCA, CRS).
• Compile and organize client files, including those involving high risk or complex situations.
• Write detailed compliance memos and notes using clear, professional language.
• Contribute to important regulatory initiatives and projects.
• Offer guidance and support to front-line teams and management on compliance matters.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of banking documentation and processes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in Big Four or banking roles.
• Fluent in both English and French, with excellent command of both languages.
