Data & Digital and Strategic Programs Leader

Roche seeks a senior leader to drive global digital and operational excellence within its Drug Product manufacturing network, focusing on data strategy, AI, and lean methodologies.

Positioned within the PTM Business Operations and Manufacturing Excellence function, this role is responsible for defining and executing the global digital and operational excellence strategy for the Drug Product (DP) network. The incumbent acts as a catalyst for value delivery, steering digital transformation, ensuring project management excellence, and maintaining strict performance accountability across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Digital Roadmap for the DP network, including establishing strong data governance and guiding the transition toward AI-driven solutions.
• Manage the PMO for the Operational Excellence Roadmap by implementing rigorous governance, tracking mechanisms, and change management strategies across the network.
• Foster an agile, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement, while mentoring global leaders to embed operational discipline.
• Partner with the Learning Academy to integrate essential digital skills and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies into the organizational structure.
• Oversee the global deployment of the PTM Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to enhance supply-demand alignment, capacity utilization, and resilience.
• Collaborate closely with technical, quality, and commercial functions, while coordinating manufacturing inputs for Business Development and CDMO alliances.
• Maintain active connections with external industry experts and peers to integrate specialized knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Broad experience across full-stack Technical Operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and quality.
• Proven success in defining and executing digital transformation roadmaps, including advanced data analytics and AI implementation.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end value chain and profit and loss (P&L) management.
• Significant experience governing large operational and capital budgets.
• Expert-level capability in driving competitive advantage through LEAN methodologies.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale PMO functions and global change initiatives.
• Exceptional ability to build high-performing teams and foster deep integration across diverse internal functions and external alliance partners.
