Doctoral Researcher in Food Processing for Planetary and Human Health

This position involves researching the future of food processing with an emphasis on creating more affordable, nutritious, and sustainable food systems. The role aims to address current challenges in the field by engaging with existing literature and proposing innovative solutions to improve food processing technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research on the future of food processing, with a focus on affordability, nutrition, and sustainability.
• Tackle existing challenges in the field, review key scientific literature, and suggest new methods to enhance food processing systems.
• Prepare a research proposal (up to 3 pages) on the topic 'Future of food processing for affordable, nutritious and more sustainable foods'.

Requirements

• Hold a completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a relevant field such as food science, engineering, nutrition, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrate a strong academic record and a clear interest in food processing and sustainability.
• Be able to draft a research proposal that includes your methodology, literature review, and potential for innovation.
• Be fluent in English, as all applications must be submitted in English.
• Have experience in scientific research, including writing a thesis and publishing research.
