Postdoctoral position

The University of Zurich seeks a Postdoctoral researcher in Schlieren to conduct proteomics and structural analysis on patient cohorts, collaborating with ETH Zurich and university hospital experts.

This postdoctoral role focuses on generating and analyzing global protein abundance and structural data within large patient groups. The position involves close collaboration with proteomics specialists at ETH Zurich and physician-scientists at the University and University Hospital of Zurich to characterize protein changes and validate findings across independent cohorts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experts at ETH Zurich and the University Hospital to produce global protein abundance and structural datasets from large patient groups.
• Perform functional characterization of identified protein alterations.
• Validate research outcomes using independent patient cohorts.
• Present findings at national and international scientific conferences.
• Draft and submit scientific manuscripts.
• Engage in additional research projects as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• Hold a PhD in biology, medicine, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate experience in proteomics, specifically applied to cancer patient studies.
• Possess strong technical skills in molecular and cell biology methodologies.
• Have a good command of the English language.
