Postdoctoral Researchers for 3-year projects on quantum networks and quantum sensing

ETH Zurich seeks postdoctoral researchers for 3-year projects in quantum networks and quantum sensing. The roles involve photonic circuit design, quantum experiments, and collaboration within Swiss and international research consortia.

The position involves contributing to two distinct 3-year research projects: one within a Switzerland-wide quantum network consortium, and another within a QuantERA initiative involving Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, and ICFO. The work focuses on TFLN circuits for quantum networks and quantum sensing applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct theoretical and simulation work, design, and assist in nanofabrication and characterization of photonic circuits.
• Carry out experiments in quantum information processing.
• Collaborate with other postdocs and PhD students on nanofabrication and optical characterization tasks.
• Participate in regular project and group meetings to share progress and coordinate efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in integrated photonics, nonlinear optics, quantum photonics, quantum information, and spontaneous parametric down-conversion.
