Postdoctoral position

Uzh seeks a Postdoctoral researcher in Schlieren to analyze protein abundance and structure in patient cohorts, collaborating with ETH Zurich and physician-scientists.

This position focuses on generating comprehensive protein abundance and structural data within large patient groups. The role necessitates close collaboration with proteomics specialists at ETH Zurich and physician-scientists to advance research objectives.

Responsibilities

• Produce global protein abundance and structural datasets from extensive patient cohorts.
• Conduct functional characterization of identified protein alterations.
• Verify findings using separate patient cohorts.
• Share research outcomes at scientific conferences held nationally and internationally.
• Draft and submit scientific manuscripts.

Requirements

• Hold a PhD in biology, medicine, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate experience in proteomics, particularly applied to cancer patients.
• Possess strong technical proficiency in molecular and cell biology methods.
• Maintain a good command of the English language.
