Driver/Data Collector in Lucerne, Switzerland

Tsmg seeks a Driver/Data Collector in Lucerne, Switzerland, for a full-time contract role. The position involves collecting high-quality visual data using vehicles equipped with 360° cameras and lidars, following assigned routes across public areas and points of interest.

This role supports a project collecting visual data from streets, public spaces, and key points of interest across EU countries to enhance a leading online mapping platform. Data is captured using specialized vehicles and stored on onboard SSD drives for later processing.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality visuals of streets, public areas, and points of interest using vehicle-mounted 360° cameras and lidars.
• Follow pre-assigned driving routes covering public streets, commercial zones, and key locations.
• Return to specific areas during optimal weather to ensure the best image quality.
• Operate vehicles equipped with data collection technology and store captured data on onboard SSD drives.

Requirements

• Hold a valid EU-issued driver’s license.
• Have a clean criminal and driving record.
• Possess at least 5 years of driving experience, including professional driving (e.g., taxi, delivery, logistics).
• Be proficient in both English and the local language.
• Be tech-savvy with experience using GSuite tools such as Gmail, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Forms.
• Have basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Demonstrate responsibility, reliability, and professionalism.
• Be familiar with the operational area.
