Driver / Data Collector in Wil, Switzerland

Tsmg is hiring a Junior Driver / Data Collector in Wil, Switzerland, for a 3- to 6-month contract. The role involves driving assigned routes to collect high-quality 360-degree images of streets and public areas using specialized vehicles, contributing to a major online map platform.

This project involves gathering visual data from public streets, commercial districts, and historical sites across EU countries using cars fitted with 360-degree cameras. The collected images will enhance one of the world’s most widely used online maps. Data collectors will follow specific routes, with some areas revisited due to poor weather, to ensure optimal image quality. The engagement is expected to last between three and six months, covering various collection zones.

Responsibilities

• Drive designated routes to capture images of streets, points of interest, and public areas.
• Operate vehicles equipped with 360-degree cameras to record and store surrounding visuals.
• Report on data collection progress and any issues encountered during assignments.
• Revisit areas as needed to ensure high-quality data collection, especially in poor weather conditions.

Requirements

• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrate strong driving skills and maintain a clean driving record.
• Be available for a minimum of three months.
• Show a high level of responsibility and self-motivation.
• Pay close attention to detail and enjoy driving during standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Access to a private, monitored parking space for company vehicle use.
• Basic knowledge of car mechanics and operation.
• Comfortable using digital tools such as Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet, and WhatsApp.
