ABB Power Grids seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead standards compliance for dry transformers across European factories, ensuring alignment with internal and external regulations while driving operational harmonization.
This position focuses on implementing the latest internal and external standards for dry transformers across all ABB Power Grids factories in the HUB Europe region. The role provides a chance to expand expertise across multiple disciplines, participate in dynamic projects, and build a strong professional network.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in International Standards Committees to monitor emerging changes and influence standards development.
- Collaborate with Product Management to define requirements and support the rollout of the Global Technology Platform.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Quality, to establish and maintain internal and external networks for information exchange.
- Oversee operations across multiple factories and work towards operational harmonization.
- Ensure the effective implementation of both internal and external standards within Power Transformers Units in Europe by conducting audits, identifying gaps, and facilitating their resolution.
- Communicate updates, deliver training sessions, and provide support and technical guidance to colleagues on Standards Compliance related questions.
- Represent the Company in standards-related discussions with customers and industry stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical are preferred).
- About 10 to 15 years of experience in the Power Transformer field.
- Experience in Project Management and managing functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of transformers design, manufacturing, testing and operations.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Interest in AI tools and their potential integration into one's work.
- L6S green belt is preferred.
- Excellent intercultural sensitivity and ability to develop and maintain healthy working relationships.
